What's one more reason to lose weight, other than the obvious? 

You will see why once I share this story with you...  In April of this year I was chosen by Jenny Craig to fly out with six other women of all ages who had lost large amounts of weight on JC.  How exciting, right?!  We were all going to be interviewed in front of the camera for a possible commercial.  Most of us were in there for two hours with bright lights beating down and extremely nervous.  I mean, imagine having discuss every lurid detail of when you were heavy?.  It was very emotional at times and many of us were drained by the time we finished.   We were told by the producers that our commercial would not air if we could not find many pictures to chose from for our "before" picture.  They were looking for the perfect picture when we were large and by ourselves to compare to us now.  How hard can that be?  No problem!  Well, it sure was a problem - for many of us.  I didn't realize how many pictures I must have made sure I wasn't in back then.  I was fat and ashamed there was no way I wanted someone documenting it.  Pictures were hard to come by and I certainly didn't have many of me posing just by myself!!!!  It soon became evident that I was not the only one that opted out of pictures.  Many of the girls had a difficult time finding a variety of photo's from when they were bigger.  This struck me as so sad.  Large portions of my life that could have been chronicled by the camera were non-existent because I hated myself so much.  I implore you to feel good about yourself.  No amount of money, change in location, boyfriend/husband, child can do this for you.  If you are not happy with how you look and feel no matter what size you are, then start making changes.  If my diet does not work for you after a few weeks then try something else.  Whatever it may be, you deserve to be happy and confident in yourself!  It has taken me a long time to realize this.  As scary as it is, I think my hatred for my body went all the way back to second grade.

What are good choices for when you are dining out?  Until tomorrow...

Weight - 117.0 lbs.

Exercise - 40 mins. incline power walking...with my dogs!  :) 


Breakfast - 

3/4 cup Fiber One Original Cereal

1/4 cup organic raisins


1/2 cup fat-free organic milk

Lunch -

2 tbsp. hummus

1/2 whole wheat pita

Carrots, Broccoli, Cauliflower

6 oz. Yoplait Yogurt

sugar-free jello

Snack -


Dinner -

DINED OUT (I know, you're thinking - again?!  Housewarming dinner.)

Approximately 2 oz. baked chicken with bread crumbs sprinkled on top

1 tbsp. cheesy potato side dish

Light Caesar Salad

 Snack -

SoBe Lifewater

100 calorie pack
