8/23/09 Sunday

Today was moving day for us.  Whooo!  We have been living out of Tupperware for a year and a half while our house was being built.  Needless to say, it was a day of chaos.  My AMAZING family helped my husband and I move an hour away.  That doesn’t sound like a big deal but we didn’t have movers or a U-Haul so the trips back and forth seemed endless.  We were going up and down a long flight of stairs moving heavy furniture and boxes.  There never seemed enough time to hydrate, eat, or even go to the bathroom!  My suggestion for others who get in this bind is to stop at the gas station and buy 97% fat-free beef jerky.  I know, I know you may not love it.  But, I was STARVING from moving all the heavy objects and exerting so much energy.  I needed a protein that was not going to be filled with useless carbs or sugar.  I try not to do this too often because if you have read any of my previous blogs too much protein is not a good thing.  But, I decided that moving day was just the kind of extreme “exercise” that allows for additional protein.

Find out tomorrow the kinds of stress that are affecting my diet and maybe yours…
