Do you get enough water throughout the day?  Eight glasses is the recommended amount of water intake; but for a person who is overweight he or she should drink 8 oz. more for each additional 25 pounds.  I read an interesting article by Maia Appleby titled, "Why Drinking Water Really is the Key to Weight Loss."  In fact, over the past few days I've tried to increase the amount of water I drink just in case I haven't been getting enough.  There's no way I want my liver to be working harder because my kidney's are not getting enough water to function properly.  Then my liver won't be able to do it's job as well which is to metabolize my fat.  Instead, it will store it which is exactly what I do not want to happen.  

I definitely go to the bathroom many times throughout the day because I drink a huge glass at breakfast, two water bottles during the day, and two huge glasses at night.  But, I'm hoping that as the article I referred to above points out, my body is not in survival mode and as a result I'm excreting excess water around my ankles, hands, hips, and abdomen!  An added bonus is that water gives happy, healthy, glowing skin and decreases appetite.  Perfect!

Weight - 120.7 lbs.

Breakfast - 

1/4 cup Break-free eggs

1 whole wheat English Muffin

1 Morning Star Veggie Sausage


1 cup fat-free organic milk

1 cup vanilla flavored coffee with 1 tsp. fat-free creamer

Snack - 

Jenny Craig Cookies N' Cream Vitamin Bar 

Lunch - 

Green beans with four squirts of spray butter

sugar-free jello

Jenny Craig Turkey Club Panini  

Snack - 

1/2 cup no sugar added original applesauce with sprinkle of cinnamon

Dinner - 

1/2 cup Idaho Instant Potatoes

2 oz. grilled halibut

Salad (mixed greens, green peppers, croutons)

2 tbsp. southwestern light ranch

Snack - 

1 cup sugar free hot chocolate

100 calorie pack
