Ah Halloween.  At school today we had "harvest parties" at the end of the day to celebrate Halloween.  It was so cute to see all the kindergartners parading through the school in their costumes.  I wish grades 1-3 would do it too.  They are just as excited, if not more, than the kindergartners and want a chance to show their teachers and friends their costumes.  My willpower is always truly tested during celebrations like these.  I had cupcakes, brownies, cookies, and candy staring me in the face all afternoon.  I'm not even a "sweets" person as much as I am a salty lover (chips and dips!).  But, the smell of all that sugar was driving me crazy.  I really compare sugar to what it must feel like for drug users.  It's addicting and the pure smell, thought, or taste is enough to make you wanting me more.  Yet another test of if I'm strong enough to say no thank you a million times to all the parents and students that keep asking me if I want any.  Good luck to all of you who face the same challenging fate I experienced today and have staring me in the face this weekend...

1 Fiber One Cinnamon Apple Muffin


1 cup fat-free organic milk

Snack - 

Jenny Craig Cookies N' Cream Anytime Bar

Lunch - 

2 oz. Healthy Ones Turkey on 2 slices whole wheat bread with mustard

Cucumbers with fat-free ranch

sugar-free jello

Snack - 


Dinner - 

2 oz. grilled tilapia

1 cup quinoa with mushrooms

fat-free lemon dill sauce drizzled on top

Salad (mixed greens, tomato)

2 tbsp. light ranch

Snack - 

1 cup sugar -free hot chocolate

100 calorie pack
