11/9/13 Katie's Healthy Eating Journal: Saturday

I don't know where you live but today is a beautiful day!  It's a high of 65 and sunny.  My husband and I went on a walk with the dogs and those are probably some of my happiest moments.  They look so happy as they run - like they're smiling.  It felt so good to have the warmth on my face and be around the family that I love so much.  Make sure that you take time for you - whether it is reading a good book, going on a walk, laying down to snuggle with your pet, or even taking a bubble bath.  Relaxation is so important.  Stress is everywhere and it definitely plays a part in weight loss.  Work, family, finances, weight, etc. can be stressful.  Implementing relaxation into your everyday routine is pivotal and it is something I need to try more.  I immerse myself in TV at night and that is not always the best answer.  It's just not comparable to a long hike with the dogs because it's as if the "steam" slowly escapes my body.  I don't feel this kind of letting go when I'm watching TV.  But, whatever works for you!  Just make sure to try something because stress could be the reason why you're holding onto a little extra weight.
