12/16/13 Katie's Healthy Eating Journal: Saturday

Today I went to my grandma-in-law's birthday at Bravo's for lunch.  Italian restaurants are some of the most difficult places to get something healthy!  My plan of action was to fill up on salad (not Caesar either; it's one of THE MOST fattening things on their menu with about 69 GRAMS OF FAT!).  So, I made sure to stick to veggies and choose between chicken or fish.  Just make sure you ask them to prepare it with as little oil as possible (who knows if they actually do this but it makes me feel better at least).  Then, being as my light dressing was used at lunch I went ahead and made sure to fix myself Broccoli and only use spray butter as opposed to any light margarine.  It's all about balance and eating out is definitely possible!
