1/21/14 Katie's Healthy Eating Journal: Thursday

by Katie (Jenny Craig 2009 Poster Girl) 22. January 2013 18:23

Today I had a "poor me" moment.  I struggle on a daily basis with the medication I'm on and I realize once I'm off of it the weight most likely will come off.  But, I went for my "monthly" check-up at Jenny Craig and I'm at a weight that may be just a pound or two for some, but for me, it is devastating.  I just don't know how to shake it off.  My consultant said of course I need to stop being so hard on myself, realize I'm eating healthy, working out routinely, and the rest is just up to how my body reacts.  I worked for almost THREE YEARS to lose 78 pounds.  I know my weight will always fluctuate but I just don't ever want to be heavy again.  No matter how small a person may be I don't think that fear will ever leave.  Pair that fear with an eating disorder and voila!  I'm in constant argument with my brain to give myself a little bit of a break since I know with 100% honesty I am not cheating and I'm very dedicated.  LOL, I was going to the restroom at JC and they had posted something about saying to yourself everyday, "I'm beautiful, healthy, and I can achieve anything I set my mind to." I liked that idea of a pep talk because I think even the most "beautiful/thin/smart" people have insecurities that creep up and overpower your rational thoughts.
