I have an aunt that is always trying to lose weight. She has tried Jenny Craig but didn't stick to it, she worked out in excess, and tried several other yo-yo diets. Whenever we get together as a family she always complains about her weight. It is frustrating and I definitely can identify with her feelings; however, if you're going to keep complaining about it my mentality is: DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. But, if you'd rather eat a lot of take out, dessert, and snacks then just own the weight. Be happy with yourself and enjoy the foods if that is the path you're going to choose. When we have cake and ice cream for a birthday party she always makes sure that my answer hasn't changed (which is always a steadfast no). I don't know if she wants to see me "splurge" or commit the heinous act with her! To me, it's not worth it. "Store bought" cake does not interest me. Now if it was a "Bon Bonnerie" cake (opera creme) I may be more apt to splurge. My thought process is - why waste all those calories and fat on a few minutes of heaven when it may take me a week or two or even three to work that cake off!
