4/28/14 Katie's Healthy Eating Journal: Wednesday

Tonight I went to a dinner to celebrate the teacher of the year at our school.  It started at 6:00 and by the time I got there I was famished!  This baby is ready for dinner at about 5 o'clock these days!  I immediately went over to the appetizers and got some crackers, cheese, and veggies (yes, I did say veggies!  I've hated veggies since I've been pregnant!).  I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I'm finally heading towards the next "phase" of my pregnancy.  I haven't been nearly as sick as I was.  Only certain foods appeal to me at certain times but the nausea seems to have lessened.  Haha if I could only get rid of this horrible fatigue!!!  But, getting back to the fancy dinner our district throws...after I munched on some appetizer's I had a BALANCED meal which is the first in a LONG time!  I had salad and a roll.  Dinner was delicious, I had about 4 oz. maybe less of thinly sliced pork with a scoop of pasta.  What kept staring me in the face all night was this delicious looking carrot and cheese cake that had been placed on our table since the appetizer's!  LOL, I felt like I had tackled a small mountain by the time I left there...why?  because I didn't eat that scrumptious looking dessert!  You've got to be grateful for the small things sometimes, right?


Breakfast -

2 Kashi Waffles with spray butter and no sugar added jelly


1 cup fat-free organic milk

Lunch -

6 fat free whole wheat crackers with 6 small slices of low-fat mozzarella cheese


Fat-free yogurt

Snack -

Grapes and veggies

Dinner -

Salad (mixed greens, sprouts, tomato, and cucumber) light sprinkle of ranch (because I'm sure it was high fat)

Small dinner roll

3-4 oz. thinly slice pork

Small serving of pasta

Snack -

I counted my roll as the snack since I had pasta for carbs.  I was stuffed even after I came home late.
