5/18/13- Paula's Eating/Exercise Journal: Tuesday

by Paula (Clean Eating Expert) 19. May 2013 15:56

There was a law implemented in New York City by the Board of Health in 2008.  It decreed that any restaurant with 15 or more national outlets must display calories prominently (on a menu board or on the printed menu).

This requirement is now moving to a national level.  Having the information will be really helpful to the consumer to make choices that are in-line with their personal goals, and can encourage vendors to creatively ass taste without pumping up the fat and calories in food to do it.  Without having government become ‘big brother’,  I feel these guidelines  hold  restaurant chains accountable for their ingredients they add, and helps children and adults, to make quality choices about their diets.
