5/20/14 Katie's Healthy Eating Journal: Thursday

by Katie (Jenny Craig 2009 Poster Girl) 21. May 2013 08:48

I told you I would document my pregnancy and be honest about the symptoms I experience.  There's one in particular that I am working up to because it's so embarrassing.  I know I shouldn't be, but I can't help it.  None of the medical books I have read have mentioned it thus far.  Actually only Jenny McCarthy's book touched on the subject briefly.  It may take me a few more days to get my courage up and announce this particular symptom to what feels like the entire world.

If you're pregnant and you experience cramping apparently this is normal.  I have had severe pain under my belly and around the sides of my belly.  I have mentioned this before but going to the doctor the other day I now have an explanation for it.  The doctor said it could be one of two things:  the ligaments stretching to be able to hold all the weight of the baby, or, the endometriosis tearing from the uterine wall as the baby continues to get larger.  Yuck, either way sometimes it is extremely painful to the point where it makes it difficult to concentrate.
