5/21/14 Katie's Healthy Eating Journal: Friday

I'm excited for this weekend!  It's going to be relaxing and we're celebrating my husband's birthday.  I'm taking him to a play and then to a steak dinner on the river(haha but no steak for me because I hate it...I know, I know, many people say I'm strange).  We're going to spend time together planting flowers and taking advantage of the hopefully nice weather by going canoeing.  I couldn't ask for a better weekend.  I'm going to remain focused on getting in at least 30 minutes of exercise every other day.  My goal is to take a nice long hike on Saturday for at least 45 minutes with my dogs.  I also plan to stay away from birthday cake.  Since I've become pregnant my will power to stay away from sweets is not as high - which is unfortunate because I'm allergic to sugar and then I reap the benefits of partaking in a sugary treat.  Do you have any goals for this weekend?


Breakfast -

Jenny Craig Sunshine Sandwich

3/4 cup strawberries

1 cup fat-free organic milk

Lunch -

2 oz. grilled chicken cooked in a slight bit of taco sauce wrapped in a huge piece of lettuce as my "taco"

fat-free yogurt

sugar-free jello

Snack -


Dinner -

2 oz. grilled chicken on whole wheat bun with lettuce and tomato

Salad (roamine, tomatoes, croutons) 2 tbsp. light ranch

Snack -

100 calorie popcorn
