6/6/14 Katie's Healthy Eating Journal: Sunday

Last night I had a mild panic attack. Just as I was falling asleep I started to feel some major discomfort in the vaginal area. It almost felt like a spasm - or the baby dropping his leg down to kick. This happened repeatedly for at least 20 minutes. Here I was freaking out that the baby felt like it was just going to "fall out" and there my husband was going into a peaceful sleep. Obviously I woke him up. He was not happy...not in the slightest bit. He kept saying, "Just call your doctor, I don't know what is wrong." Well, yes, he has a point, but no I was not going to call my doctor at midnight. I'm not kidding, I told him he needed to get up and look to make sure a body part wasn't falling out! LOL, I'm going to look back on all these moments and crack up...in fact, I already am. Can you even imagine how crabby he was to turn on the light, get out of bed, and tell me, "Nope, no body parts down there." Instead, I decided to break my pact about getting online and tried to research it. I knew I wouldn't fall asleep until I read something to comfort myself. I found two scenario's: 1) I was dialating and having premature labor, or 2) (a more likely contender) the baby was laying on my cervix and every time he kicked it hit a nerve that went all the way into my groin. I guess scenario 2 makes more sense...but just in case, I am calling the doctor first thing Monday morning.
