Today was a friend's wedding. I've been asked a lot throughout the pregnancy if I miss alcohol. Sometimes I miss a good old rum and diet coke but for the most part I don't miss it at all. Especially for me, after even just two drinks I tend to have a hangover the next day. I will NEVER miss that! I think when I do miss it it is in a social setting like the wedding. All my friends are getting buzzed from the alcohol and I'm jealous because they have that "alcohol induced camaraderie" and I start to feel disconnected to the things they find funny. Any big event is when I found I missed being able to drink during the past 8 months (bachelorette party, 2 weddings, and vacation). But, soon enough I will be able to partake in those festivities again and the option as to drink or not to drink will be available to me again. (I'm not saying I need alcohol to have fun but it would be nice every now and then for a little buzz from a few rum and diets!). SATURDAY Breakfast - 3/4 cup Bran with 1/4 cup raisins 1 cup fat-free organic milk Lunch - 2 oz. whole grain rice, broccoli, and 2 oz. chicken Fat-free yogurt Snack - Peach Dinner - DINED OUT; WEDDING 1/2 plate of pasta with vegetables and parmesan cheese sprinkled on top Snack - Small piece of wedding cake
