What is happening to my baby at 34 weeks pregnant? He is most likely about 5 pounds and 19 inches long. I keep wondering how he can get any bigger in this belly of mine. I feel like I'm stretched to capacity but apparently there just continues to be more room for him to grow. At this stage women usually start to feel more pressure in their lower abdomen/pelvis area as the baby starts to travel towards the birth canal (check!). I'm sure many women, myself included, start to get excited to meet the baby and anxious for the delivery. I'm extremely scared that it's going to hurt! The sound of real contractions terrifies me. When you cannot talk, smile, or walk you know you're in labor?! Sweet. I know women do it everyday but it doesn't take away the fear of the unknown when it's your first one. I have questions such as, will my water break (I know most women's do not), will it just be contractions that are my clue I'm in labor, or will I have to be induced (please don't let it be the latter because I'm ready for him to come out now...not TWO WEEKS after my due date!)?. MONDAY Breakfast - 100 cal English Muffin, 1/4 Break-free eggs, 1 Morning Star Veggie Sausage Banana 1 cup fat-free organic milk Lunch - 2 slices whole wheat, 1 hard-boiled egg with fat-free mayo, lettuce, and tomato Fat-free yogurt Snack - Plum Dinner - Veggie burger with pickles, lettuce, tomato on a whole wheat bun Snack - 100 cal pack
