12/6/14 Katie's Healthy Eating Journal: Monday

Last week I was discussing with my consultant if it was OK to have a sugar-free pudding every now and then (as they are on the Jenny Craig list of limited foods which a person can have up to 3 of per day).  Before starting Jenny Craig I had purchased a pack of Sugar-free Jello Mousse cups (which I might add are absolutely delicious!...especially the caramel flavor).  Since I am just beginning the program again and would like to have some good weight losses to get me to my goal weight faster I am really trying to stick to the program.  I was wondering if I should wait on the limited foods until I'm either close to maintenance or on it.  My consultant said to stop doing the limited items for now since I'm on a strict regime and especially to stay away from sugar-free pudding (even though JC nutritionists say it truly is oK).  She told me that she and the director of our centre have found that people have little to no weight loss on the weeks when they enjoyed a sugar-free pudding snack.  Seriously.  Wow, there's not much a person can have in order to really lose the weight then is there?  A stinking pudding cup affects weight loss?  Utterly ridiculous but I completely believe them when they say they have noticed that pattern.  So, good-bye sugar-free pudding cups.  You were nice while you lasted.  First my croutons, now my pudding cups.  I better have another weight loss when I get weighed in on Tuesday since I'm being this strict!  Wish me luck!
