12/15/14 Katie's Healthy Eating Journal: Saturday

Ahhh!  I think I'm going stir crazy!  My husband's fever and flu-like symptoms returned Thursday night after we went hiking. He either has strep, mono, or a viral infection.  We find out Monday.  I am such a "go,go,go" type of person and it has been difficult for me to sit at home the past two weekends.  But, I know if I were sick I would want my husband to take care of me.  Shoot, he did it for me for basically the past ten months.  The least I can do is suck it up and take care of him.  I definitely will say that it is much harder though, now that we have a baby.  For the past week I have been responsible for all the household duties plus taking care of our son.  I'm ready for a night of fun with friends!  I feel awful for even wishing this when my husband sat on the couch so many weekends with me while I was sick during pregnancy.  I am such a social person and it's difficult for me to not have this.  Oh well, it's only been two weekends some fun will hopefully come soon enough.  Just so I could get out of the house for a bit I took a hike while my son was napping.  I turned up my I-Pod, let the dogs run, cranked out a good 50 minutes of exercise, and took a little time for me.  I'm pretty proud of myself, so far it doesn't seem as if I will lose this week but at least I know I worked hard; I have exercised for 40 minutes or more everyday this week.  :)  As long as my husband's fever is gone tomorrow morning we are going to try another church.  I'm really looking forward to this because hopefully it is the place where we will become members and I can get my son baptized.  This parish is a lot of young families which is exciting because they are in the same stage of life as us so I'm eager to find things in common with some possible new friends!  LOL, besides, it means getting out of the house for a bit!  I hope the rest of you are having an enjoyable weekend.  Try to squeeze in at least one good workout if you can!

JC Cheese Curls
