12/14/14 Katie's Healthy Eating Journal: Tuesday

by Katie (Jenny Craig 2009 Poster Girl) 15. December 2013 11:37

Well, the battle of the bulge continues.  Yesterday I was weighed in at JC and on our scale at home it said I had lost half a pound this week.  Four hours later I weighed in and it said I gained .2 pounds.  Seriously?!  I worked out 6/7 days this week!  2 days of Tae Bo, 1 day of Dance Cardio, 1 day of hiking in the snow, and 1 day of hiking in the mud.  My JC consultant said that this week I need to only go every other day.  For some reason my body always gains when I work out too much.  I am so frustrated!  I realize I just had a baby and it may take awhile to get back into the swing of things but I'm back to eating a strict diet and I exercised so much - I was really hoping for a good weight loss this week.  Of course it is ten times harder when my husband was sick all week, did not exercise, and lost 7 pounds!  It really gets me down.  What if it never goes back down?  What if having a baby has really destroyed the crappy metabolism I already had?.  I was going to exchange my fats on Saturday to have a glass of wine or 2 but now my consultant wants me to remain strict since she doesn't know what is going on.  I have a party with friends from school and I'm disappointed that I can't even have a little alcohol!  Ugh.  Sorry, I am very bummed about this news.  Is it such a struggle for other women after giving birth?

To top it all off, my husband is still sick with a fever and I'm getting a sore throat.  I hope this doesn't mean I'm going to have a cold which would be just in time for the holidays.
