You know what the problem with a diet full of veggies is?  Don't laugh, OK well I guess you can because it makes me laugh.  Gas.  Feeling bloated.  Gurgling sounds in my belly.  Embarrassing.  If I don't get rid of it I just end up getting a horrible stomachache.  My luck so has it that usually when I'm in my classroom alone and I think I will be for quite awhile I'll release it...then two seconds later a student or colleague walks in.  So picture me completely mortified trying to frantically walk away from it or pull out my scented lotion to mask the smell.  Ugh, I hate it.  Come on, if you eat healthy I can't be the only one with this problem.  Or maybe you're one of those people that holds it in and waits until you get into the car by yourself?  Hey, everyone has it!  But, I just looked up how to see what particular veggies have an affect on you and it kind of sounds like what I do with my son.  You stop eating them for a few weeks and then bring one back per week.  If you're doing just carrots for a week and the problem comes back then for some reason your body has a tough time digesting them.  Let's be real, most likely you don't have the luxury to do this.  So instead try to help your body out by: not using straws or bottles with small openings, increase your fiber slowly to help your body with high fiber foods, and swallowing more helps (use a stick of gum or a piece of sugar-free candy).
