How cool!  I typed in my "stats" for this website: http://www.fitday.com/webfit/exerciseinfopage.html to find out just how many calories I burn while doing child care (grooming, bathing, lifting, feeding, etc.) and it's 148 calories per hour!  I'll take it.  I also did a TON of yard work while I was off last week.  We were trying to get our yard presentable for Easter.  Planting flowers, shrubs, etc. was 178 calories per hour!  Alright!  Maybe that also helped contribute to my weight loss last week.  This site is pretty cool - you can pick a lot of different exercises.  Now I don't know how accurate it is but even if it's approximately the same amount of calories that's still informative.

The other day I was shoe shopping with my son...haha, but for me, not FJ.  He's gotten so heavy in his car seat that I'm always looking for the nearest cart to put him in.  I'm about halfway through the song and dance of trying to get the cart, baby, and myself through the door when the greeter says, "I'm sorry ma'am (really, ma'am?  already?) we don't allow carts in the store."  Ok, wonderful, now I have to lug around all this weight while I search for shoes.  No thank you.  No longer enjoyable.  I tried for about 5 minutes and headed right back out the door.  My son didn't like the "bumpy" ride I gave him as we walked from shoe to shoe and immediately began getting fussy.  I get it; it's not a large store and a cart would be obnoxious but what about all those Mom's out there with kids that have gotten extremely heavy?  I guess they just lost my business unless I'm by myself...which is pretty much never!
