4/27/15 Katie's Healthy Eating Journal: Wednesday

Sometimes life gets in the way and you can't always stick to your diet.  For example, the screen on our microwave is broken in the staff lounge and if you're not careful you can end up putting in the complete wrong amount of time to cook the food!  Well, today was my lucky day.  First, a few days ago I forgot my Jenny Craig Anytime Bar and had to eat raisins because I got so shaky at around 11 before lunch.  So I ended up having to switch my fruit which was the raisins and my Anytime Bar for my snack later in the day.  Raisins are no good because they're high in sugar.  So this already messed up my strict 1200 caloric week.  Then, today I ended up burning my lunch.  I was talking to another teacher and next thing I know I am smoking the place up!  My food was just about on fire.  Well, I couldn't go without any lunch because that's even worse than buying a lunch.  So, I ended up buying a salad with fresh parmesan on top.  The parmesan ended up being my "protein" and then I bought a half a slice of pretzel bread.  It didn't have any butter or oil on it.  It did have a few sesame seeds which were my fat for the lunch.  I kept thinking, "If this stupid lunch ends up causing me to gain this week I'm going to be pissed." I spent all that time eating food I don't necessarily love to be on the strict meal plan and then I've accidentally gone and messed everything up.  Then, I had a dinner tonight to honor one of my dearest school friends.  Every year it's a buffet and everything always seems to be doused with butter and oil.  The only dressing for the salad is also of course fattening.  I was stumped how to do this one because I went from work to the dinner and wasn't going to get home until 9.  I obviously couldn't bring my own meal to the dinner and I didn't want to just eat the lettuce there and go home at 9 and have dinner.  I also didn't want my colleagues at the dinner thinking I was anorexic or something.  Solution?  I packed my own dinner that I ate at school before the dinner.  Then, went to the dinner and still had the plain lettuce and raw veggies.  LOL, my colleagues my still think I'm anorexic but at least I ate something and didn't go off the plan yet again this week!  Ugh, we will see how I do tomorrow at my weigh in!

Breakfast -

JC Blueberry Pancakes with 1/4 cup sugar-free syrup

1 cup fat-free organic milk

Snack -

JC Anytime Bar

Lunch -

Salad with a sprinkle of parmesan cheese and 1/2 slice of pretzel bread


Snack -



JC Cashew Chicken

Salad (mixed greens, peppers, tomatoes) 2 tbsp. light ranch

Raw veggies

Snack -

JC Chocolate Chip Cookie
